There are 2 sons named Herbert - Herbert C.Colton is recorded in the 1891 Census yet I cannot find any registration of his birth or death. However Herbert Stanley Colton was found in the birth register but registered only as Herbert

It would appear there was a previous son named Herbert which must have died as another Herbert (our Herbert) was born November 28, 1893
