There are 4 infant deaths
in the Mattishall Burgh Lane Burial Book that
I cannot (at this moment in time) place with
a family without buying the birth certificates,
I have listed them with this family and two
others as they seem the likely candidates, until
I get further information.
They are....

Cert of Baptism
1866: May 17,
Baptism of Isaac Fisher at East Dereham , son
of Clare & Mary Ann Fisher of Mattishall,
General Dealer.
Ceremony preformed by George Seaman
1890: Isaac
Fisher bought the old 5-floor tower mill run
by Mt Youll in Mill Road, Mattishall, he commisioned
Lebbell King to build a house on the site which
would become the family home, now known as 'Ivy
Dene'
1893: the
top section of the tower mill was blown off
in a storm and the mill was dimantled in 1900.
Isaac sold some of the materials to Mr William
Duffield (miller in Mill Street Mattishall)
to repair his mill where he started his milling
business which was to become one of Norfolk's
leading Millers. Isaac's mill was still derelict
in 1926
Isaac Fisher had a butcher's
shop in the ground floor of the mill his daughter
Elsie Fisher would often deliver meat
to customers in the village and surrounding
villages in a horse and trap, there were no
cars in those days. They also sold milk from
the house.
