lead letter on their headstone in Hatherleigh

The probate of the will
of William Luxton of Park Road,
Hatherleigh gent was granted in Exeter
to Herbert John Southcombe, accountant,
on June 27, when his personal estate was
valued at £561..1..10. The couples
daughters, Bessie Luxton who died
aged 20 on November 16, 1871 and Mary
Jane Luxton who died aged 3 on January
27, 1851 are commemorated on a monumental
inscription in Hatherleigh churchyard.
