John Luxton married Mary Stuckey at Wembworthy on February 13, 1809 and are commemorated by a slate headstone situated on the south side of Brushford Churchyard.

William was baptised on the same day as his cousin John Luxton (1816)
William Luxton
(1817 - 1905) was baptised on Feb 16, 1817 and was a wheelwright and agricultural implement maker in Hatherleigh where his wife Jane, was a milliner. The lead letter on their headstone in Hatherleigh Churchyard reads....

The probate of the will of William Luxton of Park Road, Hatherleigh gent was granted in Exeter to Herbert John Southcombe, accountant, on June 27, when his personal estate was valued at £561..1..10. The couples daughters, Bessie Luxton who died aged 20 on November 16, 1871 and Mary Jane Luxton who died aged 3 on January 27, 1851 are commemorated on a monumental inscription in Hatherleigh churchyard.
