73/20 - I have not seen these documents myself
so at this moment in time I have no idea what
properties they relate to.

November (from Arthur’s diaries) Arthur
had the telephone installed first used on the
4th November. A great step forward, something
we take for granted theses days. Another note
on the 8th November 1st phone call from Flora
Horne (Arthur’s sister).

Horne was contracted by Mr. David Potter
to put the roof on the Christian Brethren Gospel
Hall, Shipdham Road, Toftwood, Russell Horne
(his son) recalls on school holidays biking
with his sister Bertha from their family home
in Mattishall to take their father's lunch.
Almost 30 years later in 1965 David Charles
Potter would become Arthur's Hornes son
inlaw when he married his daughter Bertha
Rosalind Horne.
1940:- 3rd
February; Daughter Ivy Elsie Horne died of meningitis,
aged 21, buried 9th February in Mattishall Cemetery,
Entry 427
1952:- 2nd
February; Arthur’s son Russell informs
him of his proposed engagement (From Arthur’s
diaries)
1970:- 9th
May; Arthur’s wife Elsie died.
1979:- 19th
May, Arthur Edward Horne died aged 90, buried
28th May in the Mattishall Cemetery Entry No
